CALLING ALL PERFORMERS!
Come be a part of a fun and exciting interactive performance art piece at The Kitchen Center for Video, Music, Dance, Performance, Film and Literature in Chelsea.
Participants of all ages will gather in a line behind crowd control barricades outside of The Kitchenâ??s entrance, acting as fans awaiting the arrival of an abstract idol or dream. As a mass, you will help to create a sense of anticipation and ecstatic tension. Bring a blanket or something to sit on. And bring your friends!
The performance is conceived by artist Xavier Cha (xaviercha.com), and is a part of The Kitchenâ??s summer exhibition The Absolutely Other, which opens June 25th (thekitchen.org/event/210/0/1/). The performance will take place on July 1st between 6pm and 7pm and will be filmed.
